When we exhibited at the Animation Creative Technology Forum 2021 in Tokyo Anime Award Festival, there was a fact that we could not publish the production example of the animation produced by "Animation production software CACANi that can automatically generate videos" due to copyright.
Therefore, we will carry out activities to promote the spread of CACANi by opening an example of original animation (work name: Hagiru Record) production to the public.
Also, please support the crowdfunding project that will lead to animator salary improvement by digital drawing in Japan and automatic video generation.
In the Japanese animation industry, animators have not grown up, and the work environment that cannot be continued for a long time has continued for more than 10 years.
* Even though the price index has risen, the amount of compensation for each drawing has not changed even after more than 10 years.
・The average starting salary for new graduates after graduating from university is 226,000 yen.
・The starting salary for animators is tens of thousands of yen.
In Japan today, drawing technology is declining and the number of drawings is also decreasing, so even in the second to third years of animator's work experience, the standard is 100,000 to 150,000 yen.
The purpose of this crowdfunding project is to publish production examples using CACANi.
The success of the project will serve as a model for animators' incomes that will increase 1.6 to 2 times.
However, if the crowdfunding support amount is insufficient, the mission will fail.

"2D animation production software with automatic In-betweens generation function" CACANi developed by CACANi Private Ltd. in Singapore.
CACANi can automatically generate multiple move from two or more original images drawn with vector lines that correspond to the strength of the pen pressure.
Other animation production software with functions such as automatic coloring and multi-camera.
Through activities to popularize the animation production software CACANi, which has functions such as automatic In-betweens and automatic coloring, we can promote digital animation and concretely improve the salary of animators.
We will publish the production examples as they are, and will also work on creating a Japanese manual.
In this project, there are four major things I would like to achieve through the production of CACANi.
The first step is the production example and public relations activities using CACANi of the original animation [Hagiru Record].
In order to spread CACANi to many people, the animation production will be open to the public on youtube as it is.
The number of drawings by new Japanese animators is 300 per month, which is a guideline for becoming a professional.
At the production site where CACANi was introduced, there is a standard that new animators can complete 500 sheets a month.
The more drawings you have, the higher the animator's salary.
● Examples of rotoscope production by importing videos into CACANi
It is said that more than 90% of animators quit by the third year because their income is low even if they become professional animators.
With the spread of CACANi, which also applies vector lines that take advantage of the strength of the pen pressure, the salary of animators will increase.
By eliminating one of the reasons for animators to quit, the turnover rate will decrease, making it easier for traditional Japanese animation techniques to be inherited.

The fourth and final thing we want to achieve with this project is to create a Youtube radio program to make CACANi's efforts known to many people.
In the radio program, we will carry out dissemination activities to establish "moving cartoon content" that utilizes the technology of animators.
By introducing [moving manga content], which is located between still images and video images, along with the works of Hagil Records in a radio project, we will publicize new content using CACNi.
We will spread CACANi on radio programs so that people who like manga, voice actors, anime, and those who yearn for animators can feel CACANi more closely.
You can export videos drawn with CACANi in gif and mov formats.
After drawing one manga page, by using the multi-camera function, you can extract your favorite frame division with the camera like a movie, and even if you zoom in / out or rotate it, the line width remains uniform. There is also a function.

Even if you give up on returning to the field as an animator, if you like drawing, I think that increasing the need for manga content that works as a home-based workar will lead to activities that increase the number of places where you can work.

With both lip sync and rotoscope, the total working time is 8 hours and a total of 213 sheets are completed.

Shinya Fujinami is in charge of the scenario, storyboard, direction, cinematographer, and director of the graduation production of full digital drawing.
Eri Fujinami was the original draft and animation director, and in addition to character design and color design, the original drawings and videos were digitally drawn using CACANi.
Other students created digital drawings using CLIP STUDIO PAINT and Stylos.

I was busy with work and childcare, so I put my child to sleep and then production on it in the middle of the night.
I was forced to work for about half a year with about 3 hours of sleep a day, but I was at the limit.
Therefore, "I wish I could make Hagil Records into a manga in 10 or 20 years," said the Fujinami couple, and the production stopped due to their busy schedule.
In 2018, as a way to efficiently create animations with a small number of people, I came across CACANi animation software that can be automatically in-between generation.
I enrolled in Animation College in 2019 and decided to learn from the basics.
After the announcement of CACANiver 2.1 in 2020, we signed a contract with CACANi.Private to receive the materials of the official manual and officially develop the Japanese version of the user manual.

With the production of the Japanese user manual, I learned the new features of ver2.1 and was able to exhibit at the CACANi booth of ACTF2021 in TAAF.
At the ACTF2021 in TAAF venue, I felt that even though CACANi, which has an increasing number of overseas users, has a small share in Japan.
The reason for this is that there are few production cases due to copyright issues in domestic dissemination activities, and Japanese manuals have not been disseminated properly.
For this reason, we have faced the low level of recognition due to the low penetration rate at present, which is the seventh year since it was released in 2014.
Some ACTF2021 visitors have been using CACANi for more than 5 years. The person told me that he used CACANi for "a famous work that was made into a movie with very beautiful drawings".
However, the title of the work is treated in the same way as other works due to copyright issues, and we cannot speak in words or in writing.
After experiencing the exhibition of ACTF2021, I was made to think about what is needed to make CACANi more widely known to many people.
As a result, I decided to make my own original animation.
However, since it became a very big project and the budget and time became large, there were times when we wanted to give up because we could not achieve it by ourselves.
